Asahi Falls

The name comes from the brilliance of the water when illuminated by the sun.
The water drops approximately 100 meters. On the surface of the waterfall you will see hexagonal shapes, similar to a beehive. These are called columnar joints, and although they look manmade, are actually the result of lava cooled quickly. This is a unique location that offers an up-close view of this phenomenon.
Asahi Waterfall is in a narrow valley surrounded by trees, making it cool in the summer and full of beautiful fall foliage from early to mid-December.
